I believe this four minute video is well worth watching and thinking about.
There isn’t much I can really add to this post. The message from Matt Chandler is very powerful. Jesus wants us in our current condition. He doesn’t expect us to clean up our act, and then offer ourselves to His service. Dirty, filthy rags don’t scare Him one bit.
We should also look at others the same way. Accept people for exactly who they are. Don’t put conditions on our love. Don’t judge others thinking we are any better. The Bible says Jesus died for us while we were all sinners.
Jesus wants the rose.
I love the Psalms 
Very moving. It reminds me of the first verse of Amazing Grace, “Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.” God accepted me as I was in my lost state. He took me in as a wretched sinner, dirty unclean and vile. Just as I was, no strings attached. Even today, as one of His children, He still accepts me as I am, works with me as I strive to be the man of God I should be and is patient with me when I don’t always get it right the first, second, third, etc… etc… time.
Sometimes it’s hard to understand why Jesus wants us. But the incredible truth is he does want us even in our broken state.
