Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.
Psalm 40_5a

Reading: Psalm 40:1-5

LORD God,
I thank you for Jesus.
I am thankful I can put my complete trust in you.
I am rescued by your amazing grace
not by my effort.
When I fall,
you lift me up.
Hallelujah!

Amen.

— — —

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching
and to fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders
and signs performed by the apostles.

All the believers were together
and had everything in common.
(Acts 2:42-44), NIV)*

Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.Psalms 14_7

Reading: Psalm 14

LORD God,
I want to seek you always,
especially when I sin.
That’s when I need you most.
You have the remedy for my sin—
the blood of Jesus.
You forgive me and clean me up.

Amen.

— — —

This is the message we have heard from him
and declare to you:
God is light;
in him there is no darkness at all.

If we claim to have fellowship with him
and yet walk in the darkness,
we lie and do not live out the truth.

But if we walk in the light,
as he is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another,
and the blood of Jesus,
his Son,
purifies us from all sin.
(1 John 1:5-7), NIV)*
