Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”

Today’s Reading: Psalm 142:5-7

Sovereign LORD,
set me free from the negative habits
and thought patterns that imprison me.
Help me identify them one by one,
and then help me gain
the victory over them
in the power of Jesus.
Amen.

— — — —

Rejoice in the Lord always.
I will say it again:
Rejoice!

Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near.

Do not be anxious about anything,
but in every situation,
by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.

And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds
in Christ Jesus.

(Philippians 4:8-11 NIV)*

Sovereign LORD,
set me free from the negative habits
and thought patterns that imprison me.
Help me identify them one by one,

in the power of Jesus.

Amen.

Now a slave has no permanent place
in the family,
but a son belongs to it forever.

So if the Son sets you free,
you will be free indeed.
