Sing the praises of the LORD, you his faithful people; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
I remember many early mornings outside waiting for the sun to rise and warm our chilled bones. Just before dawn it is very, very dark and cold, especially in the shoulder and winter seasons. We would shiver in the cold waiting, waiting and waiting for the dawn but when the sun rose what warmth and light chased the chill from our spirits and bones. Truly we rejoiced that we survived another night outside and that we would have another day to follow Jesus!
