I will praise the LORD!

Psalm 91:9-16
If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
“Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.” *

For me this verse is personal because of how the Lord has delivered me in the past.
Bill, it’s sounds like there’s a God honoring testimony behind that observation. Feel free to share more if you are so inclined.
My Abba has delivered me in countless ways, but when I see Psalm 91, especially “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.” *
These were the verses along with “He who dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty” that helped me get through the loss of my wife 6 years ago. They allowed me to run to Him and know that He would carry me through the most difficult time of my life.
I’ve made plenty of mistakes since then, but I know that I can trust Him to get me back on the right path and that He will see me through whenever I’m in a time of trouble.
What a precious testimony, Bill. Thank you for sharing. May God continue to encourage, comfort and strengthen you.
The Lion of Judah will always stand strong.
