Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.
Reading: Psalm 22:1-8
Heavenly Father,
thank you for sending your Son Jesus
to this cruel world to suffer on my behalf.
Thank you that I can put my trust
in Your Holy Word.
It was, is, and will be forever true and trustworthy.
Amen.

Concerning this salvation,
the prophets,
who spoke of the grace that was to come to you,
searched intently and with the greatest care,
trying to find out the time and circumstances
to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing
when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah
and the glories that would follow.
(1 Peter 1:10-11), NIV)*
