Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”

Today’s Reading: Psalm 145:17-21
LORD God,
I am so glad that you are not distant
or aloof from those who call out to you.
You are near to me.
You answer prayer.
My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD
(Psalm 145:21a).
Amen.
— — — —
Submit yourselves,
then, to God.
Resist the devil,
and he will flee from you.
Come near to God
and he will come near to you.
Wash your hands, you sinners,
and purify your hearts,
you double-minded.
Grieve, mourn and wail.
Change your laughter to mourning
and your joy to gloom.
Humble yourselves before the Lord,
and he will lift you up.
(James 4:7-10 NIV)*
