Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

Reading: Psalm 38:17-22
LORD God,
grant me the gift of repentance.
I am thankful Jesus died on the cross to wash me clean.
Hallelujah!
I want to pursue you, Lord.
You are my help and my righteousness.
My salvation comes from you.
Amen.

Just as we need to breathe daily we need to repent daily too!
Alan, I have met several Christians who would disagree with your statement on repentance, but I think it is solidly based in Scripture.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:8-9).
