Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.
Reading: Psalm 94:16-23
LORD God,
I am so glad that first and foremost
I live under your Kingdom rule.
You are my King.
I find unfailing love
and consolation in knowing you.
Guide the leaders of our land
into paths of righteousness, wisdom, and truth.
Amen.
— — —
I urge, then, first of all,
that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving
be made for all people—
for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives
in all godliness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior,
who wants all people to be saved
and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
(2 Timothy 2:1-4, NIV)*
