Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz

Reading: Psalm 132:11-18

Father God,
I thank you for your son, Jesus.
He is the descendant of King David
who fulfilled your covenant
and now he reigns forever.
King Jesus,
I am your servant.
Reign in my life today.
Amen.

They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy
and shadow of what is in heaven.
This is why Moses was warned
when he was about to build the tabernacle:
“See to it that you make everything
according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

But in fact the ministry Jesus has received
is as superior to theirs
as the covenant of which he is mediator
is superior to the old one,
since the new covenant is established
on better promises.
(Hebrews 8:5-6 NIV

Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

 Reading: Psalm 105:8-15

Father God,
thank you for your love and faithfulness
even when I have gone astray.
You draw me back.
Today, I renew my covenant with you.
I commit myself afresh to loving and serving you,
Lord Jesus.

Amen.

— — —

The blood of goats and bulls
and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those
who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them
so that they are outwardly clean.
How much more, then,
will the blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit
offered himself unblemished to God,
cleanse our consciences
from acts that lead to death,
so that we may serve the living God!

For this reason
Christ is the mediator of a new covenant,
that those who are called
may receive the promised eternal inheritance—
now that he has died
as a ransom to set them free
from the sins committed under the first covenant.
(Hebrews 9:13-15 NIV)*

Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

 Reading: Psalm 103:19-22

Heavenly Father,
I appreciate the free will
that you have given me.
I choose to worship you.
You are the lover of my soul.
Thank you for all you have done.
I owe my life to you, Jesus.

Amen.

— — —

 For there is one God
and one mediator between God and mankind,
the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
And for this purpose
I was appointed a herald and an apostle—
I am telling the truth,
I am not lying—
and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.
(1 Timothy 2:5-7 NIV)*
