Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

Reading: Psalm 129
Father God,
I pray for those who are facing severe persecution,
whatever their faith may be.
But I pray especially for my brothers
and sisters in Christ.
Have mercy on them for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.
— — — —
On that day a great persecution broke out
against the church in Jerusalem,
and all except the apostles were scattered
throughout Judea and Samaria.
Godly men buried Stephen
and mourned deeply for him.
But Saul began to destroy the church.
Going from house to house,
he dragged off both men and women
and put them in prison.
(Acts 8:1-3 NIV)*
