Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

Reading: Psalm 119:9-16

Father God,
I want to live my life
according to your Word.
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.

Amen.

“Are you still so dull?”
Jesus asked them.

“Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth
goes into the stomach and then out of the body?

But the things that come out of a person’s mouth
come from the heart,
and these defile them.

For out of the heart come evil thoughts—
murder, adultery, sexual immorality,
theft, false testimony, slander.

These are what defile a person;
but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
(Matthew 15:16-20 NIV)*

Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.

Reading: Psalm 87

LORD God,
my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Thank you for being so personal—
so intimate with me.
I want to honor and serve you
in my community.
Be present and active here where I live.

Amen.

— — —

Flee from sexual immorality.
All other sins a person commits are outside the body,
but whoever sins sexually,
sins against their own body.

Do you not know that your bodies
are temples of the Holy Spirit,
who is in you,
whom you have received from God?
You are not your own;

you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your bodies.

(1 Corinthians 6:18-20)*

Today’s quote and prayer from
“Psalms 365: Develop a Life of Worship and Prayer”
by David Kitz.Psalm 27_4

Reading: Psalm 27:4-6

Lord Jesus,
I want to be ‘whiff’ you.
I want to live my life close to you now
and close to you forever.
Show me how to do that.
Be near me,
Lord Jesus.
I ask you to stay
close by me forever,
and love me I pray.

Amen.
