Hallelujah! I’ve reached the finish line.

Writing a book and getting it published is a lot like running a race—not just any race—a year-long marathon. It’s taken just over a year from the date I signed the contract for this book until the date of its publication. That’s why reaching the finish line is such a significant milestone.

There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way, including a pandemic, a physical collapse, and open-heart valve repair surgery. But we have finally reached our goal. Psalms 365 is now available for purchase.

Much thanks goes to the Deb Haggerty and the team at Elk Lake Publishing. Derinda Babcock deserves a special mention for the cover design. It’s inviting and captivating. But above all, let’s give credit where credit is due. To God be the glory. Great things He has done! He is the inspiration for all the Psalms.

What goes into making a great book cover? What makes a book appealing? I suppose authors and book publishers have pondered those questions for quite sometime.

One by one, Elk Lake Publishing developed covers for my new book. The first two were good, maybe even very good, but somehow they didn’t have that spark that called out, “I’m the one!”

But cover number three called my name. I can only hope it calls your name, and other reader’s names too.
Screen Shot 2020-11-30 at 3.42.06 PM Thanks goes to Deb Haggerty and Derinda Babcock for their diligence in working with this author, who knows what he wants when he sees it, but he can’t always put the picture into words in advance.

With some slight modifications, this will become the cover of my newest book. Volumes two and three will follow in 2021.

I welcome your feedback.

During the last two weeks there has been a lot of progress on “Psalms 365: Volume I.” One full edit has been followed by another. This week the manuscript was finally typeset, and the typeset versions has gone through two additional edits.

How many errors can you spot in 250 pages? A dozen or two? But trust me, it’s better to find errors now, rather than when the book is in your hands.

Elk Lake Logo Much thanks is due to Deb Haggerty at Elk Lake Publishing for her help during this process. We are currently working on the cover design.

Yes, we are still aiming for a finished book by the end of the month, and a book in your hands for Christmas giving.

Please pray for a stress free completion of this project and the delivery of a beautiful book.
